MountainWoman Silver Speaks

I am a mixed media painter and fiber artist. My current paintings and collages fit the abstract expressionist style. My art quilts are more representational and usually are abstracted landscapes or people. In my art career, I have explored many styles of painting but after 40 years of painting, I usually leave copying the exterior world to other artists. I now express my feelings in paint, fiber, papers, and found objects. I may start with some exterior stimulus, a detail in something I see or a color or shape. I then let my imagination take over and what develops is as much a surprise for me as anyone else.  My favorite subject matter other than non-objective deals with women’s faces.
